Speakers' and Poster Instructions

Scientific presentations will be held either as oral presentation or by poster. Presentations can be held in German language (conference language) or in English language. For further information please contact the head of division.

Oral Presentations

Usually, presentations will have the following durations. For exact information, please refer as well to your division.

  • Contributed talks are 15 minutes including discussion and speaker change(12 min talk + 3 min discussion/speaker change)
  • Invited talks are 30 minutes including discussion and speaker change (25 min talk + 5 min discussion/speaker change)
  • Plenary presentations are 45 minutes without discussion

All lecture rooms are equipped with PCs and projectors. The presentations should be uploaded to the central server in time. For this purpose, the lecturers will be sent an e-mail with their access data and upload deadlines before the conference. The presentation must be uploaded up to four hours before the start of the session.

As file formats pdf (preferred) and PowerPoint (ppt and pptx) are accepted for all sessions. You cannot use your own laptops for the lecture. Lecturers are requested to bring the presentation file into the session on a USB stick.

Posters

The  poster session of the Hadronic and Nuclear Physics division will take place on Thursday, 1. March 2018 at 16:30 in the foyer of the Audimax.

Each poster should be no larger than 90 cm x 120 cm (DIN A0). The poster boards will be marked with the number according to the scientific program. Authors are asked to mount their poster 2 till 3 hours before the session. Each poster should display the number according to the scientific program. For the mounting of the poster please use the provided mounting material. Please use only mounting material which can be removed without leaving any residue. You are also welcome to contact the student assistants on site.

Authors are requested to be available at their poster for at least half of the length of their poster session. Please provide the information when you will be available.

The  posters  have  to  be  removed  after  the  session.  Any  posters  remaining  on  display  walls  will  be removed  and  disposed  without  requesting  your  permission. 

The  conference  management  accepts  no liability for the posters.
